Hi David,

That's a nice reason to make ARG-ST a head feature. Mike Calcagno
and I make the same assumption, in our analysis of French
causatives and clitic climbing. I believe this is also required
in order to get Abeille' and Godard's analysis of French tense
auxiliaries to work (the ARG-ST value must be known for
a "lite" consitutent, which might be phrasal).
