COMPUTATIONAL LINGUISTICS JOB at RUTGERS, for FALL, 1998 The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, at New Brunswick, is soliciting applicants for a possible tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, with the appointment to begin in Fall, 1998. Candidates for this position must have the Ph.D. and a specialization in computational linguistics. We welcome candidates with primary interests in areas like learnability and/or parsing, among others, as seen from the perspective of a research program closely related to issues in current linguistic theory. The candidate is expected to be able to bridge between linguists and other cognitive scientists at Rutgers. Applications should include a CV, a statement of research interests, samples of recent work, and three letters of reference. The deadline for receipt of application materials is June 15, 1998.
