Hi, Contrary to Tibor, I think that a joint HPSG-Formal Grammar Conference is a good idea. It provides a wider forum in which to present HPSG work, where the audience consists of formal and computational linguists who are open to our approach. It also exposes HPSG researchers to recent work in closely related paradigms which is being done by people with whom it very much worth being in close contact. In any case, it is certainly woth trying out the joint conference forum this year on an experimental basis. Regards. Shalom
