I've been reading Anthony Warner's paper on auxiliaries, and
Ivan Sag's English Relative Clause Constructions, both of which
rely on default inheritance, and overriding the defaults with 
more specific values.  I had hoped to implement Warner's 
auxiliaries in ALE, but I guess that standard ALE doesn't do 
default unification. 

I understand that there's an implementation of Alex Lascarides and
Ann Copestake's "YADU (Yet Another Default Unification)" written
in Lisp, but I was hoping there's something based on Prolog, or
even better, an adaptation of ALE.

Does anybody know of some (Prolog-based) tool which does implement
default unification?
