Folks, As the current administrator of the hpsg mailing list, I'm starting to become increasingly unhappy about postings that seem to me to have NOTHING to do with HPSG (with the recent ICA3PP-97 announcement as a particularly egregious example of abuse of bandwidth). If this sentiment is shared by a suffiently large number of list recipients, I propose to move the list to a moderated format, which means that I would have to approve postings before they are sent out to the list (this would also shield you from the occasional misfirings which properly should have been directed to the majordomo list server). Of course, if the general sentiment is that no moderation is necessary, I'll withdraw my offer. --Andreas
