Tom Wasow and I are just finishing the first draft of a syntax textbook aimed at students with no prior background in linguistics. It is designed for our undergraduate introduction to syntax class at Stanford. We'd be happy to send a hard copy of the book to anyone who was interested in using it or giving us comments (we're not going to put it on the net in its present form). It is currently about 200 pages and lacks chapters 14 and 16. An outline is enclosed.
