Folks, Thanks to a suggestion by Bob Carpenter, we now found a way of archiving posted messages that makes the special treatment of space-sensitive text I mentioned earlier unnecessary. So, just keep posting messages the same way as before. The Web versions of the postings are now always displayed as preformatted, thus avoiding problems with spacing (although admittedly the result is less aesthetically pleasing than in the first version of the archive). (Actually, HTML code inserted via the <HTML>...</HTML> construct will still be recognized as such by hypermail, should this be necessary for some purpose.) Also, URLs continue to be converted by hypermail into functional links, which seems like a rather useful feature. Enjoy, --Andreas
